On 6th August 2011, in-line with DADS FOR LIFE and our National Day program, a very successful “Father & Child” vs. “Teacher & Student” Badminton Competition was organized in the school hall. Respond was overwhelming. Participants age range from 13 to 62, forming a total of 9 double teams, all competing for the top 3 prizes.
There was fun and happiness in the air. The atmosphere was radiant as “Father & Child” and “Teacher & Student” team enjoyed the games, the competitive spirit, got to know new friends and help themselves to food and 100 PLUS.
The 1st match kicked off @ 9.30am and the completion ended at noon. There were no losers, everyone is a winner. The matches were played alongside the school's regular Ping Pong weekend practice session.
From the positive feedback, we are looking at organizing regular badminton sessions in the school hall perhaps once every month on the weekend to further promote family/student/teacher bonding, sharing and community spirit @ Pasir Ris Secondary School.
